For people with two phones
When it rings, the phone in your pocket rings. Answer the call, read the message, open the app, get the code — from anywhere, as if it were in your hand.
Get set upSee how it worksA number from another country. A work line. A phone your bank, your family or an old account only knows. You either carry two phones, or you miss things.
A call to the home phone shows up as a normal incoming call on your iPhone. Answer it and you're talking — no forwarding, no new number.
You see the whole screen and use it: tap, swipe, type. Banking apps, messengers and 2FA codes all stay on the original phone, where they already work.
The phone never leaves home, never changes network, never logs in from abroad. Apps that refuse new devices or foreign logins see nothing new.
It unlocks the phone when you connect, recovers when something gets stuck, and tells you if it ever needs a hand.
A small gateway sits next to your second iPhone at home. Your iPhone or iPad connects to it with the TracePort app.
The home phone stays a normal, unmodified iPhone: no jailbreak, no profiles, nothing installed on it. The gateway uses the same standard connections as a keyboard, a mouse and a Bluetooth headset.
The video and the call audio go from your home to your phone over an encrypted private network, directly whenever possible. We don’t run a server that sees it.
The passcode used to unlock the home phone is stored only on the gateway in your home. It is never sent to us.
Nothing you see, type or say is recorded or logged. The only outside service involved is Apple's push notifications, to make your phone ring.
We're setting up a small number of homes by hand, one at a time, and working with each owner directly.
You'll need: a second iPhone that stays at home on Wi-Fi and a charger, and an iPhone or iPad to use it from. Not happy within 30 days of setup? Send the gateway back for a full refund.
Those move the number, not the phone. The apps tied to that number — banking, messaging, government services, 2FA — live on the device, and many refuse a new device or a login from abroad. With TraceOne they see the same phone on the same home network as always.
Wideband, like a good Bluetooth headset. Hour-long calls work. Over cellular it feels like using a slightly slow phone, not like a video call.
No. We do the setup with you. After that you just answer calls and open the app.
Then the home phone can't reach you until it's back, the same as any device at home. The gateway reconnects on its own and lets you know.
The home phone is an iPhone. You use it from any iPhone or iPad. Android isn't supported yet.
It's your phone and your account, used from your own home. We only set it up for the owner of the phone.
